Pair your computers

Pairing lets a profile sent between two of your computers carry its mod files. An unpaired computer still receives the profile and downloads each mod from its source.

1. On both, enable Share profiles on the local network in Settings › General › Sharing.
2. On the first choose Pair a computer; it shows a code like ABCD-EFGH, valid once for five minutes.
3. On the second choose Enter code, pick the first from the nearby list (or type its host:port) and enter the code. Five wrong codes lock entry from that computer for ten minutes.
4. Both list each other under Paired computers; Unpair forgets one.

To send, use Share…, Nearby, and pick the computer. The receiver is asked to accept unless Auto-accept from paired computers is on.

On Windows, sharing is off while every connected network is Public; set it to Private, and use Fix in Settings › General if the firewall still blocks Mortar.
